It's been 52 years since the Beatles burst onto the American scene. It didn’t take long for musicians to realize that the songwriting brains behind all those great, melodic songs were John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Jazz musicians quickly heard that the Beatles often used traditional song structures, especially the AABA pop song form and the blues form, that lent their songs to jazz interpretation. Among the pieces that Carl and friends will be tackling will be well-known gems such as "Eleanor Rigby", "Norwegian Wood", "Can’t Buy Me Love", and even "I Want To Hold Your Hand", done in a slow, Latin groove. The group will also rearrange lesser-known songs such as "Here, There And Everywhere", as a sparkling jazz waltz....
