Sounds Of Brasil
The Western Oregon University Orquestra Brasil, located in Monmouth, OR, is made up of Western Oregon University music student and is directed by Tom Bergeron, and, the associate director, Cassio Vianna. Each term this ensemble focuses on different artist or style of Brazilian music. Recently, the ensemble has performed the music of bossa nova composer Antonio Carlos Jobim and Brazilian pop singer Ivete Sangalo.
