Oregon State University's Music à la Carte concert series will host a series of Facebook Live events starting this Friday, keeping alive the decades-long tradition while following Oregon State University’s commitment to help reduce the risk and spread of COVID-19. The “brown bag” concert series has been presenting performances by OSU, regional, national and international musicians on Fridays in the Memorial Union during fall, spring and winter terms since 1969. Friday, April 17 will feature Singer-songwriter/pop-jazz artist Halie Loren. As a long-time Oregonian born in Seattle and raised in the wilds of the Southeast islands of Alaska, steeped in a wilderness-rich world from day one, her songwriting inspiration has often come from nature.
