British saxophonist Emma Rawicz has despite her young age of 22 already achieved an enormous amount in her career. She has headlined appearances at prestigious venues including the Jazz Cafe and Ronnie Scott’s and played in over 15 countries, with extensive tours in Germany and Scandinavia in particular. In 2023 she made her label debut with one of the most important jazz labels in the world today, ACT, releasing her album “Chroma” to international acclaim. Rawicz’s achievements have been recognised: she is a winner of a Parliamentary Jazz Award, finalist at the Jazz FM Awards and the BBC Young Jazz Musician Competition. The Finnish jazzguitar and double bass duo Martin Söderbacka & Eevalotta Matikainen have performed over 1000 shows together and have released 5 albums as co-producers. Eevalotta and Martin have been performing and touring together with numerous guest artists such as: Viktoria Tolstoy (SE), John Stowell (USA), Felipe Salles (BRA/USA), Tom Ollendorff (UK), Joris Roelofs (NL), Siim Aimla (EST), David Lyttle (IRL), Joonatan Rautio, Jukka Perko, Teemu Viinikainen, Osmo Ikonen, Sami Saari, Jesse Kaikuranta, Aili Ikonen, Manuel Dunkel, Reiska Laine, Olli Soikkeli and many more. Besides the duo lineup Söderbacka and Matikainen also compose for their quartet SM4 and for Eevalotta’s soul/jazz quintet Soul What? feat. Joonatan Rautio.
