Tämän upouuden kokoonpanon muodostavat kolme seikkailunhaluista muusikkoa hyvin erilaisista maantieteellisistä ja musiikillisista taustoista.
Vain kymmenkunta konserttia takana, ja trio kuulostaa jo vakiintuneelta, yhtenäiseltä ryhmältä, joka saa paljon wow-huomiota täysin ainutlaatuisella musiikillaan, hurmaavalla lavakarismallaan ja pianistin vallankumouksellisella keksinnöllä – Maqiano-mikrovirityslaitteella, jonka avulla hän voi soittaa arabialaisia maqam-asteikoita ja muita mikrointervalleja akustisella pianolla!
Wishamalii-nimi viittaa pohjoismaiseen tapaan tulkita arabi-andalusialaisia Muwashah-lauluja, suurimman osan yhtyeen ohjelmistosta ollen kuitenkin erityisesti tälle yhtyeelle tehtyä musiikkia.
Saksalainen Nordic Notes julkaisee Wishamaliin debyyttialbumin Al-Bahr syyskuussa 2024.
