At Sellosali's atmospheric Lämpiöklubi, boundary‑pushing saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, and sound artist Heli Hartikainen takes the stage. She brings her Chronovariations project to the club, where the sound of the tenor saxophone is complemented by metal plates and tubes placed around the audience and resonating through electromagnetic actuators.
The event takes place in Sellosali's foyer, with unassigned seating. The café serves customers throughout the evening.
In 2026, it will be 100 years since jazz symbolically arrived in Finland with the ship Andania. The year thus marks a historic centenary celebration for Finnish jazz: Jazz in Finland 100. The anniversary highlights Finnish jazz and its artists both in Finland and abroad, celebrating jazz as part of Finland’s cultural heritage.
