In 2026, it will be 100 years since jazz symbolically arrived in Finland with the ship Andania. The year thus marks a historic centenary celebration for Finnish jazz: Jazz in Finland 100. The anniversary highlights Finnish jazz and its artists both in Finland and abroad, celebrating jazz as part of Finland’s cultural heritage. The Jazz in Finland 100 campaign is coordinated by the Finnish Jazz Federation.

All That Jazz -konsertti vie yleisönsä säkenöivälle aikamatkalle jazzin vuosikymmenille 1920-luvun ragtime-ajoista nykypäivän moderneihin suuntauksiin. Solistina loistaa pianisti ja säveltäjä Iiro Rantala, tunnettu lennokkaasta improvisaatiosta ja monipuolisesta ilmaisustaan. Hän kuljettaa kuulijat jazzin historian merkkihetkiin, aina Gershwinin konserteista Kind of Blue -albumin syntyyn. Kapellimestarina toimii Teemu Takanen, joka on sovittanut ohjelmiston sinfoniaorkesterille. Illan aikana kuullaan jazzklassikoita kuten “King Porter Stomp”, “Caravan”, “Confirmation”, ”Blue In Green” ja “Spain”. Ohjelma huipentuu 2000-luvun teoksiin, joihin sisältyy myös Rantalan ja Takasen omia sävellyksiä. Vuonna 2026 tulee kuluneeksi 100 vuotta siitä, kun jazz symbolisesti rantautui Andania-laivan mukana Suomeen. Vuosi on siten historiallinen kotimaisen jazzin juhlavuosi: Jazz Suomi 100 -juhlavuosi. Juhlavuosi nostaa esiin kotimaista jazzia ja sen tekijöitä niin Suomessa kuin ulkomailla, ja juhlii jazzia osana suomalaista kulttuuriperintöä. Jazz Suomi 100 -kampanjaa koordinoi Suomen Jazzliitto.
