Award-winning bassist Mihkel Mälgand is one of the most active Estonian bassists, who has collaborated with e.g. With Kurt Elling, Nils Landgren and Dave Liebman. He is also the arranger and co-writer on Voorand's latest album "In Duo with Mihkel Mälgand".

Virolaismuusikoiden, laulaja-pianisti Kadri Voorandin ja basisti Mihkel Mälgandin, mukaansatempaavat ja intiimit konsertit ylittävät kieli- ja genrerajat. Paljon keikkaileva kaksikko on esiintynyt useilla kansainvälisillä jazzfestivaaleilla, kuten ELG London Jazz Festival sekä Beijing Nine Gates Jazz Festival ja nyt syksyllä he saapuvat Kokkolaan ELive Jazz Loungeen!
Voorand on voittanut kotimaassaan lähes kaikki mahdolliset palkinnot, mukaan lukien Estonian Music Awards -palkinnon, ja työskennellyt kansainvälisesti tunnettujen nimien kuten säveltäjä/kapellimestari Kristjan Järven ja pop-artisti NOËPin kanssa. Vuodesta 2020 alkaen Voorand on levyttänyt Euroopan kärkilabeleihin lukeutuvalle ACT:lle.
Palkittu basisti Mihkel Mälgand on yksi aktiivisimmista virolaisista basisteista, joka on tehnyt yhteistyötä mm. Kurt Ellingin, Nils Landgrenin ja Dave Liebmanin kanssa. Hän toimii myös sovittajana ja toisena kirjoittajana Voorandin viimeisimmällä albumilla "In Duo with Mihkel Mälgand".
