But why Future Food Factory?
"The name came to me as an inspirational and motivational 'request'. I want to think that the best and most interesting projects are still up ahead."

Teosto-palkittu lyรถmรคsoittaja Mikko Hassinen palaa jรคlkeen pienyhtyemusiikin pariin nuorekkaan ja taitavan yhtyeensรค innoittamana.
Edellisen Helsingin Sanomilta viisi tรคhteรค saaneen Espoo Big Band: Blood Red -levyn maalaama lavea ja kerroksellinen puhallinorkestraatio muuttuu Future Food Factoryn musiikissa intiimiksi ja fokusoituneeksi pienen kollektiivin vรคrรคhtelyksi. Future Food Factory on levy, jolla sen sรคveltรคjรค Mikko Hassinen pyrkii kuvaamaan musiikillisesti omaa mutkikasta luontosuhdettaan. Musiikki on lรคhtรถkohtaisesti akustista ja hengittรคvรครค, mutta akustisuuden periaatteesta huolimatta levyllรค on sรคhkรถisyyden vivahde. Moni kappale on jรคlkituotantovaiheessa saanut perinteisestรค kvartettijazzista poikkeavia kerroksia. รรคnitettyรค materiaalia on muunneltu ja prosessoitu. Akustisesti alkanut levy muuttuu matkan varrella joksikin muuksi.
"Maalle muuttamisen jรคlkeen aloin kuljeskella pรคivittรคin lรคhimetsissรค. Forest Cycle -kappaleet syntyivรคt luontevasti, kun nรคin, miltรค metsรคssรค kiemurteleva hirvielรคnten polku ja sen halkova sammaloituva, lahoava puunrunko nรคyttivรคt".
Korostaakseen kahden sointimaailman kohtaamista levyn akustinen osuus pรครคtettiin รครคnittรครค 100% livenรค Hassisen harjoitushuoneella Helsingissรค Kaapelitehtaalla.
"Yhtye levittรคytyi stereomikrofoniparin ympรคrille ja pyrki soittamaan parhaassa mahdollisessa tasapainossa niin, ettรค kaikki tulisivat hyvin kuuluville. Ennen levytystรค harjoittelin vuoden pelkรคstรครคn saadakseni rumpujen soinnin mahdollisimman pehmeรคksi ja riittรคvรคn hiljaiseksi."
Musiikin tueksi Hassinen teki single-julkaisujen oheen kolme videota.
