Olli Ahvenlahti's new album Mirror Mirror is a return to more electric jazz funk after his previous full-length Thinking, Whistling (We Jazz Records, 2017) with an acoustic band. Mirror Mirror contains eight songs composed by Ahvenlahti, ranging from the powerful jazz-funk of the first single, Paint It Blue, to the serene rhythm ballad section of the closing track Bedtime Snack. Uutuuslevy Mirror Mirror on Olli Ahvenlahdelle paluu sähköisemmän jazzfunkin pariin edellisen, akustisen yhtyeen kanssa soitetun kokopitkän Thinking, Whistling (We Jazz Records, 2017) jälkeen. Mirror Mirror sisältää kahdeksan Ahvenlahden säveltämää kappaletta, jotka liikkuvat ensisingle Paint It Bluen väkevästä jazzfunkista päätösraita Bedtime Snackin seesteiseen rytmiballadiosastoon. Maestro osaa antaa tilaa myös loistavalle yhtyeelleen ja levyn kokonaissoundi on korvia hivelevän tyylipuhdasta, mutta myös sopivasti ryöpsähtelevää ja yllättävää.
