Pianist Steve Kuhn was born in Brooklyn and became John Coltrane’s first piano player as he moved to the Big Apple. Since then Steve himself has been a fixture in the City of Jazz. Steve Kuhn has earned renown as one of the most lyrical and affecting pianists in jazz, with an unfailingly beautiful touch and a sophisticated sense of swing.
