Charlotte County Jazz Society presents The Midiri Brothers Quintet on March 13 at 7:00 pm at The Gulf Theater at the Military Heritage Museum.
Twins Joe and Paul Midiri are two of the most exciting performers on today’s classic-jazz circuit. From their homebase in Pennsylvania they travel across the U.S. to perform at festivals and jazz parties.
Joe is featured on clarinet and Louis Armstrong-like vocals. As a clarinetist, he has been described as a “spiritual descendant of Benny Goodman.” Joe also plays several of the saxophones.
Paul is a vibraphonist who is heavily influenced by Lionel Hampton and Red Norvo. While the vibes are his primary instrument, he also plays drums and trombone....
