Jazz In The Sanctuary at Fountain Street Church

The popular jazz piano concert series, Jazz in the Sanctuary, at Fountain Street Church, begins its third season this October 30 with jazz pianist, Terry Lower, and bassist, Ed Fedewa. Upcoming: Feb 12, 2017 will feature Jeremy Siskind on piano with Dave Rosin on bass. And the spring concert, on May 7, 2017, will feature vibraphonist, Jim Cooper. Each concert is hosted by Dr. Robin Connell, one of West Michigan's favorite pianists and vocalists, with solo, duo, and trio selections interspersed with conversational interviews with the guest musicians.

Jazz in the Sanctuary is produced by the church’s music committee. The series provides an opportunity for jazz piano enthusiasts to enjoy performances on Fountain Street’s magnificent Steinway and Schimmel grand pianos in an informal, intimate, and unamplified natural setting with great acoustics. ...
