About
Jazz musician and scholar from Uganda East Africa, Ivan Akansiima has performed in over 40 countries. He graduated from Hope College in 2017 and is currently pursuing his masters in Jazz studies at Western Michigan University. His music stems from Ugandan folk music traditions into Jazz, Gospel, classical, and Afro fusion. He will be joined by sax player Dr. Jordon VenHemert, bassist Ian Thompson, and drummer Zach Snoek.
