Fifth Annual Thornapple Arts Council Jazz Festival

The Thornapple Arts Council located in Hastings, Michigan announces its Fifth Annual Jazz Festival sponsored by Hastings City Bank on Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, 2008. Friday beginning at noon and into the evening the Festival offers free concerts in downtown Hastings at various venues including MainStreet Bank which will host the band, Third Coast Steel. High school and middle school bands from 13 West Michigan School Districts will perform on Saturday at Central Auditorium from 9:30am - 4:00pm. On Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., the High School All-Star big band will open for the headliner concert by the Cool Moose Orchestra from Ann Arbor.

The Jazz Festival is supported by the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo through the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
