The Apokoronas Festival has been set up by Maria Manousaki with the help of some generous sponsors.

Although it is not a replacement for the recently discontinued Jazz in July music festival, it will help serve some of the musical needs of those who previously attended performances at that festival.

Maria Manousaki is also the organizer if the Cretan World Music Festival which takes pkace in Chania Crete every summer.

This year is the 9th year of the Cretan World Music Festival, 6th – 8th August, in Chania, featuring such artistes as the Haig Yazdjian Quintet, Sokratis Sinopoulos Quartet, Petros Klampanis Trio, and Volosi String Quintet.
