Kill the Buddha is an indie folk rock band led by vocalist/guitarist Lenwood Edwards Jr. The sound is progressive, weaving odd time signatures, polyrhythms, and obscured glimpses of personal reflections into what we like to call songs. Lenwood desperately clings to melodies while inviting listeners to get lost in drones and delay. He is joined by Emily Clancy (bass), Greer Gehrken (shruti box, vocals), Daniel Sheffield (drums), and Gabi Walden (guitar). The band is based in Greensboro, NC.On his debut album, “The Holy Goat”, Kit McKay sings about everything from heartbreaks to hangovers backed by a heavy-hitting band of veteran musicians.
