Born in St. Petersburg to a Russian mother and Ukrainian father, Anton Derevyanko started playing music at the age of three.
Starting on piano with his grandmother as his teacher, Derevyanko first picked up the saxophone in grade school and quickly found himself obsessed. His obsession carried him through Berklee College of Music where he earned his Bachelors and Masters in Global Jazz Studies, while performing nationally and internationally over the last decade. Music is about more than just the saxophone for Derevyanko—it has given him a platform and a vehicle to give back to causes and communities he finds meaningful, both abroad and at home....
