I first heard and heard of Barry at a Jazz In July concert this summer and was blown away by his playing. His endless ideas and pallet of tone colors and dynamic levels was just astounding and pleasing as all get out and spoke straight to my heart. And that's just on trumpet. He is also a well respected drummer so I know this will be a very special night; swinging, surprising, exciting music from one of the masters. I think Barry Ries' playing is really something special and I hope you can join us.
