Epitome, lead by Cedric Mayfield, is a newly formed ensemble, comprised of some of Connecticut’s newly transplanted musicians, having come from all over the country. Their motto: “We LOVE to PLAY”! They reach into a wide circumference of directions and genres, as they perform jazz from a variety of styles, playing standards, arrangements of tunes ranging from Bach to traditional jazz, as well as originally composed music, all with their own unique twist.

He has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, Kirk Whalum, Bill Mays, Marvin Stamm, Shelly Carol, B.B. King, the Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, and many others....
