She’s the charismatic acoustic jazz bassist and vocalist that snatched the Best New Artist Grammy out of the hands of Justin Bieber last year...and one of the biggest recent breakout stars — not just in jazz, but in all genres of music. Embracing the rhythms and stagecraft of pop and rock, her compositions are sleek, soulful and jazzy, with touches of R&B, Brazilian, classical chamber music and improvisation all woven in.
