Jazz violinist and mandolinist Jason Anick is rapidly making a name for himself as one of the top players on today’s scene. The 28-year-old virtuoso is one of the youngest instructors at Boston’s Berklee College of Music and is in-demand as a first-call sideman. Anick records and tours internationally with Grammy award-winning Nashville guitarist John Jorgenson, who recruited Anick in 2008 while he was still a senior at the prestigious Hartt Conservatory. He also performs with the Rhythm Future Quartet, which is widely known for its fiery Gypsy jazz, but it’s Anick’s own music that’s increasingly earning acclaim. He won top honors for improvisation in the ATSA Alternative Styles competition, and his 2011 debut CD Sleepless was cited by jazzmando.com as "...a must have for any jazz violin/mandolin fans"....
