An inventive musician with a unique background, Lawrence Fields, who forewent a career in computer programming to pursue musical dreams, has earned a spot at the forefront of young jazz pianists and keyboardists. Fields has been a key member of some of today's forward-thinking, critically-acclaimed groups, including Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas' "Sound Prints" and the Grammy-nominated Chief Adjuah/Christian Scott group.
