We are pleased to present, for his second visit, NYC based guitarist Mike Baggetta to the Northampton Jazz Workshop.
An Agawam native living & working in NYC for the past 9 years - Mike Baggetta is considered one of his generation's most original Jazz improvisors and composers. It has been said that his performances are "totally compelling" (Jazz Journal, UK), "his melodic sense is truly beautiful" (Jazzreview.com) and that "each piece he performs creates new worlds of possibilities" (The Hartford Courant).
In addition to having released two albums on the Fresh Sound New Talent label - Small Spaces and Source Material - Baggetta co-leads duos with trumpeter Kris Tiner and saxophonist Jeremy Udden in addition to many other original projects. He has had the pleasure of performing with Tom Harrell, Conrad Herwig, Adam Kolker, George Schuller, Darcy James Argue's Secret Society, Jon Irabagon, Cameron Brown, Dominique Eade, Matt Wilson, Jamie Baum and Bucky Pizzarelli among many others. >Paul Arslanian...
