This new jazz series at Passages Gallery seeks to the fill the void of Japanalia, a series that many in the area attended religiously up until they closed. Come and help bring jazz back to the West End! We've got an evening of fun music planned, from new originals to old favorites and everything in between! ABOUT THE MIKE CASEY TRIO:
"The Mike Casey Trio is a unique jazz group not only in their musical approach and style, but in instrumentation as well. The band features saxophone, acoustic bass, and drums. The absence of guitar or piano, which is typically found in a jazz group, gives the band a very distinctive sound. A typical set features original music with some jazz classics thrown into the mix (re-arranged in their own signature style, of course).
