Born in Buenos Aires to an American father and an Irish mother, Dominic studied guitar at Boston’s prestigious Berklee College and the London Guildhall School of Music. He’s been a sought after session musician since the late 80s and his list of engagements defy categorisation but include collaborations with Phil Collins, Katie Melua, Bryan Adams, Paul Young, Peter Gabriel and Tina Turner, among others.
Dominic Miller has been involved in every Sting album since the 1991 album "The Soul Cages" and performed over a thousand concerts with the former "Police" singer as well as co-written hit songs such as "Shape Of My Heart" and “La Belle Dame sans regrets”.

Stingin pitkäaikaisena luottokitaristina tunnettu Dominic Miller hurmasi yhtyeensä Suomen ensi vierailulla yleisön klubikeikoilla Helsingissä ja Tampereella. Keväällä Millerin johtama kvartetti saapuu April Jazzeille ja esiintyy yhtyeen akustiselle soundille erinomaiset puitteet tarjoavassa Sellosalissa Espoon Leppävaarassa.

12 sooloalbumia julkaissut ja kollegoiden suuresti arvostama muusikko on työskennellyt urallaan lukuisten maailmantähtien rinnalla. Näihin lukeutuvat muiden muassa Phil Collins, Tina Turner, Peter Gabriel, Bryan Adams sekä Katie Melua. Stingin kanssa yhteistyö alkoi jo 1990-luvun alussa. Miller on tämän jälkeen ollut mukana kaikilla Stingin albumeilla sekä yli tuhannella livekeikalla. Stingin ja Millerin yhdessä säveltämiä hittikappaleita ovat muiden muassa “Shape Of My Heart” sekä “La Belle Dame Sans Regret”.
Dominic Millerin vuonna 2023 julkaistu “Vagabond” -albumi on artistin kolmas julkaisu legendaarisella ECM-levymerkillä. Albumilla kuuluu vaikutteita jazzista, popista, folkista, klassisesta sekä latinalaisamerikkalaisesta musiikista. Miller on itse sanonut, ettei aikomuksena ole ollut tehdä kitaralevyä. ”Kiitos upeiden laulajien, joiden kanssa olen työskennellyt vuosien varrella, näen itseni enemmän instrumentaalisten laulujen tekijänä”, Miller kertoo. Hän kokee tehtäväkseen ympäröidä itsensä parhailla muusikoilla, jotka ymmärtävät näiden "laulujen" tarinoita. Vaikka levyllä ei laulajia kuulla, on kappaleissa vahva tarinallinen ja runollinen tunnelma.
Yle Radio 1 taltioi konsertin ja se kuullaan Jazzklubin illan keikkana myöhemmin tarkentuvana aikana.
