While the Ghanaian reggae artist Blakk Rasta could not get his visa in order and had to cancel his show, we will bring Negus Rocketeers Showcase live on stage of Elephantasy along with eight local reggae singers together with a band consisting of top-notch musicians! Helsingin kesän yksi iloisista kohokohdista rytmimusiikin ja kulttuurien välisen yhdessäolon osalta, Elephantasy – Funky Family Picnic, valloittaa jälleen lauantaina 1.7.2017 päivätapahtumallaan Alppipuiston, yhden kaupunkimme idyllisimmistä tyyssijoista.
Monikulttuurinen koko perheen tapahtuma tarjoaa tänäkin vuonna tuttuun tapaan svengaavaa rytmimusiikkia, katuruokaherkkuja maailmalta, sirkusta, lasten ohjelmaa ja lämmintää tunnelmaa auringon alla. Piknik-henkisessä puistojuhlassa omat eväät ovat sallittuja, mutta toki kannattaa täydentää niitä erilaisten etnisten ruokakojujen suussa sulavilla valikoimilla.
Aiemmin ilmoitettujen esiintyjien ohella tapahtuma on saanut vielä yhden merkittävän ohjelmalisäyksen. Alun perin suunnitellun ghanalaisen Blakk Rastan Suomen-vierailun kummallisesti kaaduttua viisumiongelmiin, Elephantasyssa nähdään lavalla Negus Rocketeers Showcase, joka esittelee kahdeksan paikallista reggae-solistia showcase-tyylisesti kovan luokan muusikoista toimivan bändin säestämänä. Negus Rocketeers on vuosien varrella niittänyt mainetta esiintymällä Suomessa vierailleiden reggae-supertähtien, kuten Mikey Generalin, Marla Brownin, Peetah Morganin ja Lucianon live-yhtyeenä!
