Kuten kirjailija ja runoilija Sakari Topelius (1818-1898) kehottaa vaalimaan koskematonta luontoa ja etsimään luonnosta syvempää yhteyttä elämään, niin tekee myös folkjazz-trio Hot Heros. Saksofonisti Sami Sippolan ja basisti Ville Rauhalan sävellysten maisema on lumoava, melodinen; usein seesteinen, mutta sen ytimessä virtaa kiihkeä sisäinen liekki. Yhtyeen musiikki kutsuu hengittämään ja kuulemaan metsän ääniä. Pianisti/säveltäjä Iro Haarlan eleganssi tuo orkesteriin loistokkuutta ja maadoittaa soittoa vahvasti pohjoismaisen improvisoidun ja luontoyhteydestä ammentavan musiikin perinteeseen.
