Joonas Tuuri Quartet is in the capital area operaintg jazz bassist’s own group, founded in 2017. The band plays catchy and buoyant instrumental modern jazz and the compositions are written by Joonas. At the heart of the music are beautiful and captivating melodies, strong different moods, an urbane groove and a very finely honed interplay and improvisation. Sensitive communication between musicians always makes the music meander in a unique and unpredictable way. Joonas Tuuri Quartet on pääkaupunkiseudulla vaikuttavan jazzbasistin oma yhtye, joka on perustettu vuonna 2017. Yhtye soittaa menevää ja hyväntuulista instrumentaalia modernia jazzia ja sävellykset ovat Joonaksen käsialaa. Musiikin keskiössä ovat kauniit ja tarttuvat melodiat, vahvat erilaiset tunnelmat, mukaansatempaava groove sekä pitkälle hioutunut yhteissoitto ja improvisointi. Herkkä kommunikointi muusikoiden välillä saa aina musiikin polveilemaan ainutkertaisella ja arvaamattomalla tavalla. Yhtye äänitti esikoislevynsä keväällä 2021 ja se julkaistaan Eclipse Musicin kautta maaliskuussa 2022 nimellä Dimensions.
