Antila/Sauros Wonderful Quartet is a new quartet co-led by Adele Sauros and Mikko Antila. The band started out from Adele's and Mikko's duo improvisations. Quickly they started to form songs from the jams and thought about extending the sound palette from duo to quartet. They chose Mikael Saastamoinen and Okko Saastamoinen as the rhythm section, who are known as a lively and expressive pair.
The quartet first played together in the end of 2022, and immediately felt the connection to the music as an ensemble and as individuals. The music is very much inspired by the spiritual side of Black American music, drawing great influence from the likes of Pharoah Sanders and John Coltrane....

Antila/Sauros Wonderful Quartet soittaa ensimmäisen keikkansa Tenhossa. Yhtye esittää Mikko Antilan ja Adele Sauroksen yhdessä säveltämiä kappaleita.
