Víctor Carrasco, originally from Huelva, began his professional singing career in Andalusian flamenco peñas at the age of 16, after studying flamenco guitar for several years. Carrasco has performed at numerous festivals and theaters worldwide, collaborating with major figures in flamenco.
Old and individually successful bandmates, pianist Aki Rissanen and saxophonist Mikko Innanen, contribute to Hietsu is Happening's concert year with an entirely new program. The material created and rehearsed in mid-January at the Musicians' Union's residency in Western Uusimaa delves into fundamental questions of art and humanity, as well as trivial and irrelevant details.

Hietsu is Happening! tuo lämmikettä tammikuun kylmiin pakkasiin, kun sunnuntaina 28.1. Paviljonkiin saapuvat vieraiksi espanjalaiset flamencon mestarit Juan Antonio Suárez ja Victor Carrasco.
Flamenco on parasta koettuna läheltä ja tämä on harvinainen tilaisuus kokea huipputason flamencoa näin intiimisti. Kylätalon pienehkössä salissa tunnelma tiivistyy ja musiikin intensiteetti tulee iholle vastustamattomasti.
Säveltäjä-kitaristi Juan Antonio Suárez “Cano” on työskennellyt nimekkäiden tanssijoiden, kuten Sara Barasin, Rocío Molinan ja Belén Mayan kanssa ja säveltänyt useita tanssiteatteriteoksia. Vanhat ja omilla tahoillaan melko menestyneet soittokaverit pianisti Aki Rissanen ja saksofonisti Mikko Innanen avaavat osaltaan Hietsu is Happeningin konserttivuoden aivan uudella ohjelmistolla. Tammikuun puolivälissä Muusikkojen liiton Länsi-Uudenmaan residenssissä luotu ja harjoiteltu materiaali pureutuu taiteen ja ihmisyyden perustavanlaatuisten kysymysten lisäksi vähäpätöisiin ja epäolennaisiin pikkuasioihin.
