Peter Gyarfas Trio is an international band that plays original compositions as well as arrangements of jazz standards. The members of the group started playing together in 2018 during their studies at the Sibelius Academy. The trio's sound represents today's mainstream jazz music and it is inspired by the American piano trios of the hardbop era. While their music is rooted in traditional jazz, their own distinctive sound makes the outcome fresh and exciting. Peter Gyarfas’ first record called Reaching North has made this rhythm section's debut in 2022.
