"Songs I Love: Deep Cuts and Hidden Treasures"

On Saturday, June 12, Danielle Reich is delighted to return to The Glade with pianist Art Fristoe to present an intimate evening of her favorite songs, spanning over 100 years of songwriting across multiple genres. The evening's repertoire will feature deep cuts, songs that escaped the spotlight of the mainstream.

Danielle Reich had a roundabout route to jazz vocals, starting with degrees in music and psychology at the University of Florida, singing with the Houston Grand Opera chorus, and working in software, veterinary clinics and teaching ballroom dancing. Danielle started studying jazz when she came to Houston in 2000, and now performs with ensembles based in Houston, Austin, Seattle and New York, singing music ranging from 1910s & 20s trad jazz to jazzed pop, and from French chanson to avant-garde free improvisation. ...
