For thirty years, The Tremont House has hosted Galveston’s premier Mardi Gras Ball and Parade Viewing Party. The first of these breathtaking events was held to celebrate the grand opening of The Tremont House on February 16, 1985. Now this gala offers live entertainment by three bands, dinner, cocktails and a prime view of the Momus Grand Night Parade as it passes in front of the hotel. The entire hotel is transformed for the most opulent Mardi Gras Ball and Parade Viewing Party held in Galveston. Following the parade, the Ball continues in The Tremont Ballroom with live music by Retro-Swing Band Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, cocktails and a midnight breakfast....
