Once considered a cornerstone of the Third Ward community, the Historic Eldorado Ballroom has been recognized as a significant part of history in both the City and State. With this recognition, the Eldorado Ballroom was also awarded an official Texas Historical Marker in 2014. Joining past performers Milton Hopkins and Jewel Brown, Andre Hayward will continue the Ballroom’s rich tradition by performing on the evening of December 5 at 8pm. Hayward is a gifted trombonist with a sound and clarity reminiscent of the late J.J. Johnson. With a gospel-tinged approach to jazz, his music refreshes and warms the hearts of those he comes in contact with.
