Da Camera’s annual series of free concerts celebrating Jazz Appreciation Month at Discovery Green kicks off with a spotlight on some of the best Houston-based jazz artists playing today.

6:15-6:45 p.m. – HSPVA Jazz Combo: Students from the storied HSPVA Jazz Department open the 2019 Da Camera JAM at Discovery Green series with an exciting set of Jazz favorites.
7:00-7:45 – Thomas Helton Quartet: Bassist Thomas Helton, a staple of the Houston jazz scene, returns to Discovery Green with a quartet that is sure to get audience members on their feet.
8:00-8:45 – José-Miguel Yamal and Friends: José-Miguel Yamal, a Chilean-American jazz pianist, leads a combo in a high-energy set of Latin tunes....
