About
Frank Trompeter Quartet also has Chris Miller, piano, Mark McKnight on drums, and Frank T singing and playing saxophone. FT Quintet's trumpet/flugelhorn/EWI player Brian Pryor may come by too, or ubiquitous local trumpeter, Frank Parker, or even our alumni flugelhornist Mr. A.J. Good. The band will play all jazz, and select from various jazz and contemporary genres for the style of songs, e.g. East of the Sun over a smooth reggae groove. Trompeter has been voted Best Male Musician in Springfield, IL, and has performed at the Port Townsend Jazz Festival' Jazz in the Clubs event in 2008 and 2009, both singing and playing saxophone.
