Our vision is to be a national leader in adolescent and young adult cancer programming, by giving patients, survivors, and their caregivers a community and support rooted in mental and physical wellness based tools and resources from diagnosis through survivorship.ABOUT THE ARTIST:Band of Horses emerged in the mid-200s with an engaging blend of melodic woodsy rock and strong, reverb-laden vocals. There might be no other band that was able to channel the generational anxiety of those early millennial years and turn it into such powerful art quite like Band of Horses. Their acclaimed initial albums built the group’s reputation as a prominent indie rock band, leading to mainstream success and a Grammy-nominated major-label debut. Over the following two decades, founding singer/songwriter Ben Bridwell would continue to evolve their sound, working with legendary producers like Glyn Johns and Rick Rubin.While often billed as “alt-country,” that’s not a fully accurate label. There are hints of vintage influences like Eagles and Neil Young, but most of the songs capitalize more on Bridwell’s tenor howl and the sort of wistful-and-woeful, chugging choruses that beg for sing-alongs.
