One of the most in-demand pianists in New York, Eric Reed came to prominence as a member of the Wynton Marsalis band in the early nineties, with whom he recorded seminal albums including ‘Standard Time Vol 5 and 6”; and ‘Live At The Village Vanguard’. Countless other collaborations include those with luminaries Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Elvin Jones, Ron Carter and others. More recently, Reed was a member of Christian McBrides ‘Inside Straight’. Outside the sideman role, Reed has recorded over twenty albums as a leader, as well as producing major movie scores and teaching as a faculty member of the prestigous Juilliard School of Music....

In Summer 2015, Reed will make his first visit to Ireland in a quartet setting with Irish guitarist John Moriarty, Italian bassist Vincenzo Florioa and Australian drummer Adam Pache. Downbeat magazine describes Moriarty as ‘An excellent player, dynamically varied and adventurous within his chosen idiomatic domain’ on his debut album ‘Echoes’ which features Pache on drums. This collaboration will undoubtably be one of the swinging-jazz highlights of 2015.
