Onder Focan; started music in 1970, concentrated on jazz in 1975. Mainly self-thaught as a jazz guitarist, played with a great variety of local and international jazz musicians, he released 13 CDs out. He owns Nardis Jazz Club in Istanbul since 2002.
Batu Salliel was born in Mersin. At the age of 9, he started his musical journey with the support of his father Mumin Salliel. In 2010, he attended the Turkish leg of London College of Music exam and was ranked as one of the top instrumentalists. He performed in the 13th Istanbul Jazz Festival with his brother Anil Salliel with their ‘2 Saxophones’ project. He was a part of Turkish pop singer Goksel’s band during 2009 and 2010, and played with Askin Arsunan’s JazzIno between 2010 and 2011. In 2012 he co-founded the project called ‘What Da Funk’ with Batu Salliel. In 2014, with the guidance of Onder Focan, he participated in the Riga Jazz Stage Saxophone Contest in Latvia. He was ranked first among the 10 saxophone players from various countries and was awarded the Grand Prize and Best Improvisation awards, also receiving invitations to per for at the Stockholm Fashing Jazz Club and Riga Jazz Saxophone Festival.
Kagan Yildiz was born in Istanbul, in 1980. He started his first music studies with his uncle Orhan Akinci who is a music teacher. In 1991, he started his musical education and studied doublebass in Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory and continued his studies with Assoc.Prof. Engin Babahan. After he gruaduated from Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory in 2002, he played with several orchestras which are; Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, Bursa State Symphony Orchestra, Akbank Chamber Orchestra, Istanbul Chamber Orchestra, Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra, CRR Symphony Orchestra ve Sisli Municipality Symphony Orchestra. He also professionally keeps playing jazz alongside classical music so that he plays with many jazz musicians such as; Kerem Gorsev, Tuna Otenel, Imer Demirer, Sibel Kose, Nilufer Verdi, Sarp Maden, Kamil Ozler, Ricky Ford, Allan Harris, Harvey Weinapel, Michel Borstlap, Giovanni Mazzarino, Freddie Cole, Mark Murpy, Dave Samuels, Dena De Rose, Lee Konitz.
