Akbank Jazz Festival: Selen Beytekin at Summart Art Center

Selen Beytekin was born in İstanbul in 1987. At the age of 8, she worked with pianist Ergican Saydam. Beytekin took part in a cappella choirs during her high school years, and worked with Vijay Upadhyaya, the conductor of Vienne Conservatoire, in the ‘European Voices A Cappella’ choir. She stepped into the world of professional music together with İlham Gencer whom she met at a tango night. She played at Q Jazz Bar, playing piano and singing, she has also taken the stage with the jazz pianist Aşkın Arsunan.
