Fuat Tuaç, caz eğitimine 2007 yılında Sibel Köse caz vokal atölyesinde başladı. Randy Esen, Aydın Esen, Donovan Mixon ve Baki Duyarlar’dan caz vokal, armoni ve ear training dersleri aldı. 2011 yılında gittiği Montreal Kanada’daki Concordia Universitesi’nin Jazz Studies bölümünden 2014 yılında mezun oldu. Kanada’da konserler ve albüm çalışmaları ile dolu bir sanat yaşamı sürdüren sanatçımız 4 yıllık uzun bir aradan sonra ilk defa Nardis sahnesine çıkacak. Bu gece sizlere caz standartları ve kendi bestelerinden oluşan güzel bir repertuar sunacak....

Fuat Tuaç began his jazz training in 2007 at Sibel Köse’s jazz vocal workshop. He further took courses of vocal jazz and technique, ear training and harmony with Randy Esen, Aydin Esen, Donovan Mixon and Baki Duyarlar. In 2011, he was admitted to Jazz Studies department of Concordia University in Montreal, Canada wherein he studied vocal jazz and technique with Madeleine Theriault and Jeri Brown, Jazz Improvisation with Charles Ellison and Liselyn Adams, jazz harmony with Michael Pinsonneault and jazz history with the legendary jazz pianist Wray Downes who had accompanied Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Carmen McRae and Blossom Dearie. He sang in the big band directed by the famous saxophonist Dave Turner and in the orchestra called Eclectic Ensemble directed by the famous guitarist Gary Schwartz. By earning an outstanding achievement merit, he was granted full scholarship by the Quebec government for his studies which he completed in 2014. Since 2011, Fuat has been organizing jam sessions every Wednesday at Upstairs Jazz Bar, which is one of Montreal’s most famous jazz bars. Fuat also performs once a month at Upstairs. Fuat simultaneously performs in the other famous jazz venues of Montreal such as Diese Onze, La Sala Rosa and L’escalier on a regular basis. In a short span of time Fuat had the chance to perform with Montreal’s most famous jazz artists such as John Sadowy, Paul Shroefel, Jim Doxas, Karen Young, Adrian Vedady, Chad Linsley, Marianne Trudel, Norman Gilbeault, Pierre Tanguay, Morgan Moore, Roberto Murray, Kim Richardson, Sonia Johnson, Mike de Masi and Dawn Watson Tyler. Moreover, he further performed in Montreal’s well-known concert halls such as Oscar Peterson Concert Hall, Phi Centre and Olympia Hall. He further had the chance to perform live on Canadian television channel called Global TV and his own composition Late Bloomer is currently being played frequently on the Canadian jazz radio stations. In 2012, Fuat began working as the manager of the saxophonist and jazz impresario Michael Pinsonneault who was his professor at Concordia. Last month Fuat and Michael released a collective album titled the STARS ABOVE which comprises original compositions of Montreal’s well-known singers and composers. The album also includes one original composition by Fuat. After a long break of 4 years, Fuat will be back on the stage of Nardis where he will perform a colorful repertoire of well-known jazz standards and his own compositions.
