Frances Alina Ascione was born in Hollywood in the heart of a fervent musical environment. Daughter of art (her mother is the famous gospel singer Cheryl Nickerson) since she was a child she learned the art of singing and the typical language of blues and soul. In 2016 he participated as a competitor in THE VOICE, arriving at the semi-finals. It is the voice of the group of “”Radio2 Social Club”” radio-television broadcast conducted by Luca Barbarossa and Andrea Perroni broadcast on Radio2 / RAI 2. The DaNuJazz4et is one of the information formats in Italy representing music as a subject. Once it was called “”Fusion”” (a mixture of jazz, funk, soul and rhythm & blues) but, as often happens, the renewal of the times also requires terminology. It is always unpleasant to label a musical genre but the Smooth Jazz is considered a legitimate son of pure Jazz overseas. Indeed, great masters of the genre are also excellent artists in other musical fields.
The repertoire of this project ranges from reinterpretations in Soul / Funk key of classics by Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, Grover Washington Jr., David Sanborn, Marcus Miller to music version of Soul (MichaelJackson, MarvinGaye, StevieWonder, RandyCrawfordetantaltri).”
