After a 2 year collaboration between bassist Philipp Kienberger and guitarist Thomas Casalicchio, 2012 the finally found the perfect matching drummer, Hubert Bründlmayer. Since then they have to projects: first the Thomas Casalicchio Trio, a band that plays originals as well as Jazz standards. From that nucleus the greater quintet Thomas Casalicchio Group originated, which performs only original compositions written by the guitarist. The two projects share the wish to explore the tunes, pushing themselves to the limit of collective and individual improvisation, until you find yourself in another world, without even noticing how it happened...
