Band composed of three musicians tuned to the swing frequencies! Led by the pianist, composer and arranger Luca Filastro, the line-up is completed by the talented musicians Vincenzo Florio on double bass and Emanuele Zappia on drums. The Trio offers a varied repertoire between original and standard pieces from the American songbook. Swing, interplay, passion, humor, bebop and many other ingredients will make the Luca Filastro Trio concert a unique experience!

He discovers his musical vocation at the age of 5 thanks to the records of Fats Waller, Jelly Roll Morton, Sidney Bechet and Louis Armstrong. He undertakes classical studies, reaching the achievement of a diploma in piano with full marks at the age of 19. The complex pianism of Filastro is well recognizable from his incredible sense of swing, blues and improvisation, in which Stride Piano, Swing, Bebop and Blues are merged in his own personal synthesis....

His playing echoes the sounds of great pianists such as Fats Waller, Earl Hines, Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Nat King Cole, Bud Powell. His style is also very influenced by the careful study of the great jazz soloists such as Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Roy Eldridge. In 2015 he released his first album “Handful Of Keys” which led him to perform all over the world, in solo piano and with great international artists, between Jazz and Swing dance festivals.
