Andrea Nunzi: drums
Gianluca Figliola: guitar
Vincenzo Florio : doublebass
A trio of first level with Gianluca Figliola on guitar, Vincenzo Florio on double bass and Andrea Nunzi on drums. Three of the best expressions of Italian jazz – different in terms of education and career but united by the same respect and love for jazz, especially live. Playing standards is not really like playing covers, if you want to discover the difference the two hours of tonight can clarify your ideas. Jazz for us is a music that first of all must graciously reach the ears of the public, inviting it to a dialogue, to enter an atmosphere. Tonight’s concert, and more generally the philosophy of the club, represents a continuous tribute – never a ridiculous imitation to make the verse to … – to the great jazz tradition, to its genres – from swing to hardbop – in company of some of the best musicians of the Italian jazz scene and a selection of the standards and the most beautiful songs extracted from the great songbooks of the 900 of the greatest composers – from Cole Porter to Duke Ellington, from George Gershwin to Irving Berlin.
