He has recorded four records with the Vittorio Gennari quartet for the Red Records label: The sound, Melodies, Italian songs and Blues recently released.
The “Musica jazz” magazine in November 2014 dedicated an interview to him across the board, reviewing the last album “Blues” with the Vittorio Gennari quartet.
Gigi Rossi
Gigi Rossi was born in Rome. He studied double bass with M ° Fernando Grillo. He approached jazz in the mid-70s playing with several Italian and foreign soloists. He has played and recorded with Bill Smith, Maurizio Giammarco, Charles Davis, Cinzia Gizzi, Olivier Berney, Ole Jorgensen, Jens Sondegaard, Kristian Jorgensen among others.
He collaborated with Radio3 for which he conducted the programs Domenica musica, Tempi moderne and Radio2 taking care of the jazz page within the Strada Fare program.
Mauro Salvatore
Born in Melfi, he graduated from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome in jazz drums, has a long experience with prestigious names such as Gigi Proietti, Sergio Caputo, Jim Porto, Dario Rosciglione, Massimo Moriconi, Alfredo Paixao, Irio De Paula, Cinzia Gizzi, Eddy Palermo, Gisela Oliviero, Claudio Gregori aka Greg and many others. He has participated in many television programs and has recorded several CDs.
He teaches drums and percussion. He is director of the ensemble music course at the Berardi Nitti Institute.
