Vittorio Cuculo, born in ’93, graduated in October 2017 at Siena Jazz University, in jazz saxophone, three years of first level, is the young Roman saxophonist, considered one of the greatest talents of the new generation of Italian jazz. Accompanied by high-level musicians such as Danilo Blaiotta on piano, Enrico Mianulli on double bass and with the extraordinary participation of a pillar of Italian jazz such as Gegè Munari on drums, Cuculo manages to interpret the spirit of bebop in a lively and convincing way.
His debut album “Between “(Alfamusic) plays right from the title on the concepts of border, frontier, a meeting point between cultures, styles, genres and generations. Not surprisingly, he alternates the respectful but original rereading of jazz history standards with original pieces.
