SUNY Corning presents The Modernistics Trio in The Twenties Roar Again– swinging songs, tap-dance numbers, and jazz instrumentals by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and other master tunesmiths of the 1920s. Among the selections are Blue Skies, Stairway to Paradise, Let’s Misbehave, It Had To Be You, and Ellington’s Black and Tan Fantasy. The concert will be held on the SUNY Corning Campus, building CHM 024, free and open to the public. The program celebrates the 100th anniversary of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic American novel, The Great Gatsby , which was published April 10, 1925.
