The New Reformation Band will be one of 40 groups appearing at one of Michigan’s largest one-day music festivals when the Saginaw Rotary Club presents the 11th Annual Saginaw on Stage event this Saturday, April 19th, on 6 stages at two adjacent venues in downtown Saginaw: the Temple Theatre Annex ballrooms, and the historic Saginaw Club.

The NRB will include the usual suspects: Dave Tatrow, trumpet; Keith DeWitt, trombone; John Simpson, clarinet; Rick Bryant, drums; Bob Eastham, string bass; and the Oppermann Brothers: Dave on piano, and Nick on guitar and banjo. The band’s CDs will be on sale during the one-hour performance: 730pm to 830pm in the Saginaw Club’s 3rd floor ballroom. Dancing is encouraged....

The fund-raising musical extravaganza caters to almost all musical tastes: jazz, folk, country, rock, blues, bluegrass, big band, and more. The music begins at 4pm and goes continuously on all stages until 11pm. For a detailed list of all the performers and music categories, go online to www.saginawrotary.org. An all-event pass for an adult remains just $25, while students are just $10. Cash bars are located at each of the six stages, and the Saginaw Club offers an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner for just $15 including tax and tip. All proceeds go to various local charities including Covenant Kids who are sponsoring a telethon on WNEM-TV5 Saturday afternoon from noon until 6pm, telecast from the nearby Saginaw Children’s Museum.

This year the Festival moves back to its original site after being outside the city in Freeland for a number of years. In spite of the multiple stages, ticket sales will be restricted once a pre-determined capacity is reached so it is best to buy them in advance.
